My beloved cat, Dukgoo, passed away suddenly overnight. He underwent PU surgery last December, and everything had been seemingly fine since then. However, in the early hours of May 9th, he fell ill, though he initially appeared to be recovering. Despite his condition, I took him to the ASPCA, where he had received his surgery. The doctor there informed me that he was stable but had slightly elevated kidney values. Due to his gentle nature, the doctor administered only a light sedation and allowed him to rest through the night. While he seemed okay albeit a little subdued, I suspected it was due to the sedation.
However, upon waking up, I noticed that Dukgoo was struggling to breathe. Worried, I rushed him back to the hospital. The doctor informed me that his liver values were alarmingly high at 1480, indicating a dire prognosis. Desperate for hope, I expressed my desire to seek a second opinion at another hospital. Regrettably, the doctor explained that Dukgoo would not survive the transportation. Reluctantly, I had to agree to euthanize him.

제가 레딧 캣 죽순이라 거기 올릴려고 쓴 글이에요. 그런데 눈팅족이라 자격이 안된다고 글을 올릴 수가 없어서 여기다 올려요. 정말 믿기지가 않네요. 바로 이틀전까지 잘 놀고 잘 먹고 잘 싸던 얘가 이렇게 쉽게 갈 수가 있나요? 병원을 그렇게 다녔는데 간수치가 높다는 말은 들은 적도 없고요. 수술하기 전에도 테스트 다 했는데 간수치가 높다는 말 못 들었어요. 너무 억울해요. 이제 겨우 11살이에요. 정말 좋다는 것 다 먹이고 조금만 아파도 병원 데려 갔어요. 이렇게 손 한 번 못 쓰고 보냈다 생각하니 눈물이 그치지가 않아요
