I am searching for my mother, 이금숙 or 이금순 (nickname “망고”). My mother was born in Cheonan, Chungcheong Province. She is approximately 75 years old. In the early 1970s she lived with her sister with a similar name near Shinhyeon Church in Daehyeon-dong, Seodaemun-gu. 이금숙/이금순 was dating my father, 조찬식, when she became pregnant with me.

My mother's name is Lee Geum-sook or Lee Geum-soon (nicknamed 'Mango'). I estimate that she is about 75 years old now. My mother is from Cheonan, Chungcheong Province, and she lived with her older sister with a similar name near Shinhyeon Church in Daehyeon-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul in the early 1970s. My mother was dating my father, Jo Chan-sik, when she became pregnant with me.

제 어머니의 이름은 이금숙 혹은 이금순 (별칭 ‘망고’). 지금 어머니의 나이는 대략 75세로 추측됩니다. 제 어머니는 충청도 천안 출신이시고 1970년대 초 서울시 서대문구 대현동 신현교회 근처에서 비슷한 이름을 갖은 언니와 함께 살았다고 합니다. 어머니는 제 아버지인 조찬식과 당시 사귀고 있을 때 저를 임신하셨습니다.

My biological father, Jo Chan-sik, says this picture of me looks a lot like my mother. 

친아버지 조찬식 씨는 제 사진이 어머니와 많이 닮았다고 말합니다.
