듣는 사람은 모두 다 약속을 지키겠다고만 하고…

My lips are sealed.

I’ll take it to my grave.

그런데…

비밀을 정말 지키는 사람이 몇 명이나 될까요…

말 하고 싶어서 근질근질 거리기 시작하고…

You just want to spill it out. 

(spill it out: 털어놓다)

금방 비밀이 새 나가버리죠.

…and somehow, you’ve spilled the beans.

(spill the beans: 부주의로/잘못해서/무심결에/고의 아니게 말해버리다)

어쩌다 보니 다 얘기해버렸고 

…and the cat’s out of the bag.

(cat’s out of the bag: 비밀이 탄로나다)

모든 게 탄로났고.

…처음부터 혼자만 알고 있어야 했는데 말이죠.

비슷한 (?) 표현으로,

Hold your tongue/bite your tongue.

무슨 말을 하고 싶어도 가만히, 조용히, 입 다물고 있으라는…

Not another peep.

Not another peep/I don’t want to hear another peep out of you.
