교황, 튀르키예 지진 피해 애도…"튀르키예, 시리아와 함께 한다"

프란치스코 교황이 튀르키예와 시리아를 향해 애도를 표명하고 영적 친밀감을 전했습니다.
교황청 국무원장 피에트로 파롤린 추기경은 어제(6일) 성명을 통해 "교황이 지진으로 인한 엄청난 피해 소식을 접한 뒤 깊은 슬픔에 잠겼다"며 "교황은 이번 지진으로 영향을 받은 모든 사람과 영적으로 가까이 있다"고 밝혔습니다.
교황은 또 주튀르키예 교황대사 마렉 솔친스키 대주교와 주시리아 교황대사 마리오 체나리 추기경에게 전보를 보냈습니다.
교황은 튀르키예와 시리아 국민들을 향해 영적 친밀감을 표했으며 구조 활동에 돌입한 응급 요원들을 위해 기도했습니다. 교황은 세상을 떠난 사람들의 영원한 안식을 기원하기도 했습니다.
