Tips for caring for a blind or visually impaired dog Unsure of what to do if your dog is going blind or is blind? Here are a few tips I picked up through books, vet advice, talking to other blind-dog owners, and trial and error:
1. Don't move the furniture around at home. Your dog will quickly make a mind and scent map and be able to get around - unless you change things. Get down on all fours and crawl around looking for hazards, like sharp edges. It's a bit like baby-proofing your home (in fact, baby gates at the top of stairs are a great idea). ¹«¸À» ²Ý°í ¾É¾Æ¼ Áý¾ÈÀÇ ³·Àº °÷ ¿©±âÀú±â¸¦ È®ÀÎÇؼ À§ÇèÇÑ ¿ä¼ÒµéÀ» Á¦°ÅÇØ ÁÝ´Ï´Ù. ¾Æ±âµéÀ» À§Çؼ ¾ÈÀüÇÑ Áý¾È ȯ°æÀ» Á¶¼ºÇÏ´Â °Í°ú °°´Ù°í »ý°¢ÇÏ½Ã¸é µË´Ï´Ù. ¾Æ±âµé ¾ÈÀü¹®°°Àº °Íµµ °è´Ü¿¡ ¼³Ä¡ÇØ ÁÖ¸é ÁÁ½À´Ï´Ù. 3. Use your voice and talk to him all the time. You'll need new commands like, "careful" and "step up" and "step down" to teach dogs when a kerb is coming. ´«ÀÌ º¸ÀÌÁö ¾Ê±â ¶§¹®¿¡ Ç×»ó ´ëȸ¦ ÇØÁÖ¼¼¿ä. ±×¸®°í, "Á¶½ÉÇØ" ȤÀº "°è´Ü" °°Àº »õ·Î¿î ¸»À» °¡¸£Ä¡´Â °Íµµ ÁÁ½À´Ï´Ù. 4.
