This country is not democratic. It is filled with corruption, at a congressional level.
We can protest. We can get angry. But our voices, anger and cries will not be heard or felt.
It's the way it has been and it will always be this way.
The only way to make changes is through economic power and using political strategies. So let's learn from the best.
AIPAC. American Israel public affairs committee.
They literally have full paid staff whose job is to monitor and build relationships with congressmen. AIPAC bribes and threatens the politicians to do what Israel wants them to do.
They control the Congress. And they make the presidents of the united states, both democrats and republicans. AIPAC is fully protected because they support both parties. Doesn't matter who wins. Their interests are fully protected and guaranteed.
This is bad news. Because my money, our tax money goes to fund Israel's interests, not mine and not ours.
So what can we do?
It will take a long time and it may be tough at first.
We have to get involved in our local level and learn about our civic rights and duties. You can start with a book by Ralph Nader.
We MUST seat candidates who represent OUR interests, Not Israel's interests!
We need to be informed, involved and become interested in how we can make our environment better so that my money and your tax money can be spent for the interests of our children..... so that when they grow up and happen to attend schools like Columbia or Harvard one day, they can openly discuss their rights and opinions and not be afraid to have their scholarship/financial aid taken away or get expelled if they are not silent.. .....and so that they will not be threatened with withdrawal of job offers from elite entities because they spoke the truths.
This is not a problem of a one Arab country whose land is getting stolen. Don't think that Palestine will be an exception. It could be us someday if our existence does not suit US politicians' interests. It can be anybody. Apparently our first amendment is not protected when we speak of the Israel war. No freedom of speech. Our rights have been taken away... already.
I hope all of you will care about facts, truths and your own well being and interests.
It's not someone else. It could be us. Very realistically.
